it’s just a thought (a father’s love)
composition reissue - available Aug. 26 ‘07
when i recall,
how leaves of green,
seemed old and dying,
there’s a sadness,
and a gladness,
that this perspective was reflective of changes that needed to be.
at times i’m sorry, but never of me.
when skies were grey,
my mother’d say “God is a father’s love.
While you’re waiting, still debating,
there is a star above, of so much love,
a father’s love to me.
And while you’re turning and twisting
in this world,
while you’re struggling with what you believe
there is a power whose knowing,
whose love’s evergrowing,
that’s waiting for you patiently.”
When skies are grey,
I hope and pray.
I know I’m lucky.
Angels find me,
they remind me,
there is a star above, of so much love,
a father’s love for me.
there is a star above, of so much love,
a father’s love for me.
