this is my prayer for the confused
for all the lost and the abused
those without shelter
without wealth
those without power
those without health.
and when you feel as though you can’t move
that there’s no way for life to improve
that love is broken in the world
that there’s no hope for peace in the world
when there is nothing left to say,

when there is nothing you can do,
oh you know that’s not the truth,
cuz you can move on to better plains
move on to a better day

when it’s too easy to take revenge
what will that gain you? nothing in the end
you’ve got your sights on bigger things
